Claude Lyons PowerSave Energy Saving Regulators

Currently the National Grid's standard UK voltage, at typically 240V, is unnecessarily high. This can create energy losses, also excessive heating and stress in your electrical equipment. PowerSave Energy Saving Regulators eliminate these problems by controllable voltage reduction to a level better matched to your site; their closely regulated output realises energy savings of up to 25%.

Users of the PowerSave Energy Saving Regulators set the regulator output to a site's optimum voltage level. Motorised servo feedback technology ensures a regulated output of typically ± 1% of the PowerSave's setpoint value. The output is typically 99% efficient with a fast, smooth and step less response free of added harmonics. It also features phase balancing; a major consideration if your site is susceptible to phase imbalance heat losses and equipment damage.

With its tight regulation and dynamic voltage optimisation, the Energy Saving Regulator cuts energy loss significantly better than a fixed ratio transformer can. And, by maintaining its regulated output even during power dips, it provides security from the problems of deteriorating mains supply quality.

The Energy Saving Regulators, easily installed adjacent to consumer units or distribution boards, comprise the single-phase ESS-A-1 and three-phase ESS-A-3 families. Outputs range from 32A to 2000A per phase.
